If you need access to an Accessibility Computer during our closed hours, please check the following links for Carlson Library hours and services. They have two accessibility computers in the public area on the first floor, one in the basement Microforms room and one in the Canaday Center located on the fifth floor. The Scott Park Campus Learning Resource Center has one in the public area.

Software available in the Adaptive Technology Computer Lab:
Kurzweil 3000 8.0 : Kurzweil 3000 is reading software that makes printed or electronic text accessible to people who are blind or have limited vision.
JAWS 3.7 : JAWS is a software program which “reads” what is on the computer monitor in front of you. This feature allows JAWS to be very useful to students who have trouble reading or seeing what is the screen in front of them.
ZoomText 8.1 : ZoomText provides a wide range of magnification levels, allowing you to enlarge the view according to your needs.
Carlson Library Accessibility Computers have Jaws, Kurzweil, Test View and Dragon Naturally Speaking.
Note:
1. All Students using campus computer labs must have an activated computer lab account. Students can activate their computer lab account in the Student Union Computer Lab.
2. In keeping with the safety of self and others, and to decrease the noise level associated with the use of screen reading software, students are required to bring and utilize their own ear phones when accessing the adaptive computers in the campus lab.
